MCCLELLAN, Jennifer, a Representative from Virginia; born in Petersburg, Va., December 28, 1972; graduated from Matoaca High School, Chesterfield County, Va., 1990; B.A., University of Richmond, Richmond, Va., 1994; J.D., University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va., 1997; lawyer, private practice; member of the Virginia state house of delegates, 2006-2017; member of the Virginia state senate, 2017-2023; unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Virginia in 2021; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative Aston Donald McEachin (February 21, 2023-present).
